Bumbershoot announced their Yogashoot partnership with Rachel Brathen aka “Yoga Girl” and Liz Arch. Yogashoot made it’s debut on the Starbucks Stage (Mural Amphitheater) on Saturday and Sunday. Liz arch is the founder of Primal Yoga, graced her presence on Sunday 9/4. Rachel Brathen is a yoga teacher and entrepreneur. She is the creator of one0eight, an online yoga plateofrm and an animal rescue and adoption organization called Sgt. Pepper’s Friends.

Rachel led an hour-long class on Saturday September 3rd at 2:00 PM. She requested that each attendee find someone they’ve never met before and get real personal. She invited the attendees to share one thing that they want to let go of with the stranger who ultimately became a friend. The person listening was required to hold space and listen without judgement, allowing the speaker to divulge as much as they feel comfortable or necessary. It was definitely an experience that is often overlooked when it comes to connecting with another human being. Thank you Rachel Brathen for giving us an opportunity to move forward!

Liz Arch led a class rooted in martial arts and yoga. Her flow energized the attendees through Primal Yoga®, a dynamic yoga/martial arts fusion class that merges Vinyasa yoga with the artistry of Kung Fu and the grace of Tai Chi into a creative, intelligent and mindful flow. Liz embodied the practice of self-love across the lawn. At the end everyone raised their hands to affirm their self-love and acceptance! It was definitely a moment of unity and community.

Seattle based yoga teachers, including Betsy Shilling, Elvis Garcia, Gabriel Juzon and many more, provided hands on assistance throughout the Yogashoot sessions. Lululemon, a popular athletic retail company, provided yoga mats for all the attendees.
