In this series workshop, you will learn the basics of Bollywood dancing!

“Bollywood” is the name given to the Indian film and music industry. The vibrant, eclectic dance form combines upbeat music with easy to follow choreography based on a variety of styles such as folk, classical, Garba, Bhangra, hip-hop, and modern dance.

Join Priyanka for an exhilarating dance workshop where you can immerse yourself in Indian culture and have lots of fun!

  • Class is open to ages 12 years and above. No prior dance experience required. You can join anytime during the series.
  • Drop ins are welcome.
  • Different medley of songs are taught each class.
  • Please wear comfortable clothing.

About the instructor: Priyanka Vora
Priyanka VoraMeet our new Bollywood dance instructor, Priyanka Vora. Priyanka is a Doctor of Physical Therapy as well as an Indian dance choreographer and fitness instructor. Priyanka is originally from Boston, MA and has 11 years of training in the classical Indian dance form, Bharatanatyam. For the past ten years she has specialized in teaching her passion, Bollywood/Fusion dance, and choreographing for national cultural events and South Asian weddings. Priyanka loves teaching and sharing her Indian heritage with those around her. When she moved to Seattle in 2016, she started a Bollywood dance group called Rangeela and performed at the Seattle Center for the prestigious 20th anniversary cultural show. When she’s not dancing, Priyanka enjoys traveling, cooking, blogging, and being a vegetarian foodie!
