Dharma Wisdom: Spring Session in Seattle Yoga Arts
April 21 @ 8:00 am - 9:20 am| Free
The intention of this program is to encourage a deepening of our meditation practice and, within the refuge of sangha (spiritual community), to share insights and support for living with wisdom and compassion. We’ll begin each of our 8 meetings with a half-hour of meditation followed by an investigation of When Awareness Becomes Natural: A Guide to Cultivating Mindfulness in Everyday Life by Sayadaw U Tejaniya.
Sayadaw U Tejaniya is a meditation master in Myanmar who is revered by both Southeast Asian and Western students of mindfulness. His teachings are simple but deeply insightful. His own path to a mindful life had many twists and turns and he uses these life experiences to illustrate his suggestions. Above all, this guide is full of gentle encouragement to anyone who is interested in cultivating a continuity of presence and wisdom.
