This Seattle yoga workshop will give students with some background in yoga asana practice a chance to experience how to add foundational back arches to a yoga practice in a safe way. Backarches are very important to practice as they keep our bodies supple, lift our spirits, give us energy, and give us courage. We will do some poses with support and some poses without using support.

The Workshop is based upon the Alignment Oriented Yoga system known as Iyengar Yoga and is taught by one of the Northwest’s most experienced yoga teachers: Richard Schachtel.

This workshop is open to all except those with acute and chronic lower back issues.

Cost:

  • Free if preregistered in advance (sign up online through Mindbody and sign the online liability release. No credit card information is required)
  • $40 at the door
