Dates: Thursday, January 26 – Sunday, January 29, 2017

To be “In the Pocket,” is to be in the flow of time, connected and unhurried. Take your time, and decelerate through slow motion vinyasa, wide-brain stationary balance poses, and seated kinetic meditation.

The body offers us numerous pathways into the parasympathetic nervous system, our natural intelligence that takes us inward. Learn how to “tap in” and apply existing somatic networks to the practice of yoga, both in movement and in stationary balance. May include some music.

Theresa has taught “Accessing the Parasympathetic Nervous System,” a workshop exploring the different body systems that take us into “wide brain” (meditation and deep internal awareness) for more than 20 years. She applies this knowledge to everyday life issues including inability to sleep, PTSD, and the ever present Poodle Brain that plagues our culture.

Note: Pranayama will not be a primary focus. Students should be relatively healthy and clear on their limitations as this is not a therapeutic intensive.
