Shoulderstand is considered the second most important pose in yoga practice. Overall the regular practice of this pose produces a calming feeling in the mind an a deep relaxation of the body. It is a very important restorative pose and it is usually practiced at the end of a yoga practice to help one recoup their well spent energy. The workshop is open to all except those with serious neck injuries.

In Iyengar Yoga we do shoulderstand with blankets. If done correctly is usually allows students to do a better, more comfortable pose that they can stay in and enjoy. The workshop will begin with a good warm up and preparation for the pose. Please wear yoga clothes.
