Welcome to a unique training experience: the Craft of Teaching Yoga, a 200 hour RYT Certified Teacher Training that runs from January 28, 2016 to May 8, 2016.

Trainees emerge from this program equipped to lead intelligent, creative, musical and meaningful vinyasa flow. We dive deep into sequencing, anatomy, yoga history and mythology, theming, and hands-on assists.

We take weekly “yoga field trips” together to experience and discuss influential instructors throughout Seattle. Trainees are encouraged to draw inspiration for flow sequencing from many studios and many styles.

This program empowers trainees to approach teaching yoga with the mind and heart of an artist. We balance technique with intuition, we contrast skill with innovation, and we discover fluid artistic expression within the grounded structure of asana, anatomy and history.

{ Program schedule }

  • Thursdays, 7:15-9:45pm at salt room yoga
  • Saturdays, 12:00-1:30pm expanded vinyasa class at ritual house yoga
  • Saturdays, 2:30-6:30pm at barre bohemian (car pool from cap hill)
  • Sundays, 1:00-6:00pm at salt room yoga

We meet weekly for 13 weeks, with a nice, long spring break half way through the program, March 19-27. There are no make up sessions for missed lectures. Each week, we also enjoy “yoga field trips” and practice with Seattle’s best instructors to later discuss inspiration and insights.
