Get positioned for a health career with the Yoga Instructor Certification from Bellevue College starting on September 18, 2017 and ending on March 22, 2018.

The Yoga Instructor Certification program at Bellevue College is designed to prepare students to teach Yoga in a wide variety of settings and to become a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher through the Yoga Alliance approved teaching standard curriculum. It is the premier Yoga Instructor Program in the Northwest and includes a strong anatomical kinesiology portion as well as expands on broader wellness coaching techniques.  The Registered Yoga Teacher Certification is a credential sought by many fitness and wellness employers. Upon graduation, program graduates should be able to:

  • Develop a deeper understanding of the Yoga Alliance standards for yoga teachers
  • Identify ethical and professional standards for yoga and wellness
  • Demonstrate ability to manage and teach yoga classes with established safety parameters
  • Analyze and reflect on yoga within a wellness plan. The Yoga Instructor Certification Program consists of 15 credits over two quarters.
