Learning how to physically help your students is one of the most important skills for a yoga teacher to develop. It is related to the Art of Observation as one needs to learn to See what is needed for the student before adjusting. In this 12 hour training you will be working on some of the core poses that are practiced in many yoga traditions, and develop you skills in understanding the why, the when and how to adjust your student.

This workshop series is targeted to yoga teachers, teacher trainees and serious yoga students and is being led by Richard Schachte, the director of the Center for Yoga of Seattle.

Common poses that the workshops will focus on may include: Downward Dog, Warrior 2, Extended Triangle, Reverse Triangle, Sitting forward extensions like Paschimottanasana and head to knee pose, Handstand, Shoulder stand, Headstand, Upward Facing Bow AKA Wheel and more. The training will meet on 4 Saturday & Sundays this fall in Seattle on the following days: October 18,19 & November 1,2

Richard Schachtel ,the instructor, is one of the most experienced yoga teachers in the US. His teacher training courses have attracted students from around North America and abroad. He has conducted yoga teacher training courses since 1986. Richard is Seattle’s only authorized Iyengar Yoga Teacher Trainer and Directs a Registered Yoga School with Yoga Alliance. This course may be used for Yoga Alliance continuing education credits.

Tuition for the entire 4 session course is $250 but register by October 13, 2014 and only pay $180. You can also take any of the 2 weekends for $125 each. A single 3 hour training is $75.
