About this Event: If you haven’t had the opportunity to work your way through deep profound personal grief yet, this festival is a place to start. The goal is for participants to come together as a community in support of one another, through their losses and celebrate life and love.
The pain, no matter the reason, the various triggers, come in waves so the idea of a weekend event is a loving way to sit with it and process and come to accept the journey and ways to navigate. There may be some hugging, some crying, some stillness, some journaling, some talking, some circles…if you choose to participate.
BUT there will also be a lot of mischief, play and celebration and human connection for experiencing positivity & healing, meant to find you.
While the festival has a very basic canvas it is honest and sincere and love-filled with different activities across the weekend immersion.

1- Therapeutic Acroyoga: An Introduction for Beginners (Friday, March 20, 2020 @6:00–9:00 pm)
Learn about the healing art of acroyoga, experience the yum factor you get when practicing partner poses in traditional yoga and learn to fly in this sumptuous workshop. We’ll begin by centering and warming up the body, then practice giving our weight to the ground and to a partner in preparation for becoming airborne!
You do not need a partner to attend, but you’re welcome to bring one. Consent will be practiced throughout the workshop to keep all participants comfortable in each pose. Come experience the joy of flying and allowing your body to expand with the help of another wonderful human.

2- Acroyoga Fundamentals: For Curious Beginners (Saturday, March 21, 2020 @1:00 pm – 4:00 pm)
Are you curious about acroyoga but haven’t had the chance to try it? This workshop will start from the basics and teach you how to safely start an acroyoga practice.
For each pose there is a base (lies on the floor, legs inverted), a flyer (up in the air), and a spotter who is keeping everyone safe. In this workshop you get to choose to be a base, a flyer, or both. Everyone will practice spotting. You can come alone or bring a partner you would like to work with. We will work in groups of 3-4 so that every pose has a spotter and each practitioner is completely safe throughout the practice. Join Jaime and build connections with other people in this wonderful practice of connection

Healing Vibrations with Emily Bond in Phinney Ridge - Bohemian Studios

About this Event: Join Emily and Molly for a blissful evening of yin yoga accompanied by a sound bath. Yin yoga is a system of yoga designed to target the deeper, connective tissues of the body through carefully supported poses and longer hold times in each shape. This deeply meditative practice will allow you to maintain mobility in your joints while cultivating an internal sense of equanimity. About this Event: Tactile learning can occur through contact with an object (like a block or sandbag), when placing your own hands on your body, and, as happens often in yoga, when a teacher places their hands on the body of a student for a variety of reasons: alignment adjustment, breath awareness, grounding, etc.
The Ethics and Art of Hands-on Adjustments is a workshop designed for teachers to develop their knowledge and skills for improved use of tactile cueing. Participants will discuss the use of touch as a teaching tool, the benefits of touch, reducing harm through touch, and how to improve your own knowledge to support your use of adjustments. You will work through some common postures and posture groups to look at what adjustments might be useful for most students, and explore how to customize adjustments for the individual.

Two and a half hours are being set aside to help you overcome your fears & go to new levels with your inversion practice. About this Event: This 2.5 hour workshop will focus on the Latissimus Dorsi & Serratus Anterior. Learning about these powerful upper body muscles will transform your relationship with your own body & your yoga practice.

About this Event: Yin Yoga is a passive stretching practice focused on mobilizing joints and lengthening tight muscles. Myofascial release (MFR) breaks up adhesions or “knots” in our muscles and connective tissues, allowing the Yin practice to become even more effective.
