“It’s just yoga. Don’t take it too seriously!”
You’re likely to hear Brielle’s classes begin with this phrase…or something similar. A devoted Lord of the Rings fanatic and self-described “gemstone geek,” Brielle is all about celebrating the quirks, flaws, and individualities that make your yoga practice your own! Her Vinyasa classes incorporate elements of her dance background to create a well-balanced, playful, and rhythmic flow, with a strong emphasis on breath as the foundation of the practice.
Her own yoga journey began as an avenue for healing – both on a physical and emotional level, and the practice quickly became much more than just a way to improve and maintain her well-being. She completed her 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training with Carina Terra in 2014, and her Healer Training with David Elliott in 2015, allowing her to expand her teaching practice to include Healing Breathwork. She hopes to complete Sound Healing Training with Suren Shrethsa, adding Tibetan singing bowls to her toolbox of healing modalities.
When she’s not at the studio, you can find Brielle buried under a pile of yoga books, curled up with her 17-pound tabby cat, attempting to cook something besides pizza, or creating yoga-inspired healing gemstone jewelry! Learn more about Brielle at Northwest Yoga Kula.
