[Live Streamed] 2021 Tuesday 200 HR Yoga Teacher Training with Richard Schachtel

We are starting our 8th Weekday Evening  200 Hour Yoga New Teacher Training on February  23rd, 2021!
From 6 pm- 10 pm

It will meet on Tuesdays 6pm-10pm. This is our 8th Evening Yoga Teacher Training offered in the past 4 years. The 2018 Tuesday Evening Course met 45 consecutive weeks! If we are not able to start the course in person in the studio, we will start online, live using zoom. We will then switch to in-studio instruction when it is allowed and safe.

We started 2 teacher trainings in july 2020 that are meeting live, every week, online and these trainings are going well. They too will switch to in-studio instruction when allowed. We aren’t letting a pandemic stop the training of the next generation of yoga teachers.

This training is for those who want to teach yoga, for those who want to build a strong personal yoga practice, as well as for those interested in deepening an existing practice. It is also terrific continuing education for current yoga teachers who want to learn this prominent alignment-based yoga system.

The course is approved by Yoga Alliance as a 200 Hour Training.

Graduates will be able to join Yoga Alliance and be recognized as a 200 Hour Registered Yoga Teacher. We have over 150 graduates of this course who are members of Yoga Alliance!

This course has been a great success with many yoga students coming from throughout the Whole Puget Sound Region. Many have developed a personal yoga practice and are developing valuable skills to use in teaching yoga.

The fee for the course is $4,000. It meets 45 times.

We are running a 2 Specials on This Course through Sunday, October 18, 2020, at Midnight. The Special with unlimited make-ups is only $1,499! The Option with 4 Free Make-ups is ONLY $1,299! Make-ups can be taken during the training at appropriate Evening, Daytime, and Weekend Teacher Training Classes and for a period of 1-year afterward. For those choosing the unlimited option, there are no additional charges for make-ups. For those choosing the 4 Free Make-up Option, make-ups after the 4 are $20 for each additional 2-4 hour make-up or $30 for a 6-hour make-up class.

Students attend this training from Redmond, Bellevue, Kirkland, Everett, Bainbridge and Whidbey Islands, and well as Seattle and its suburbs.

You will be able to make-up missed sessions at the other offering of this class either daytimes or weekends during the course and for a 12-month period after the course ends.

Non-refundable and non-transferable to others.

For those wishing to transfer from this course to another teacher training offered by the Center For Yoga of Seattle, there is a $350 transfer fee.

In the event the start date of this course is postponed, the course will still end on time by 12/21/2022, and no refunds will be issued.

About the instructor: Richard Schachtel

Richard Schachtel has been training in Iyengar Yoga for over 40 years. He founded The Center For Yoga in 1980 and is a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher and an authorized Iyengar Yoga Teacher Trainer. He has made 22 yoga study trips to India to personally train with the Iyengar Family most recently in December 2016. Richard is the Seattle Area’s most Senior Iyengar Yoga Teacher. Richard has been training teachers in Seattle since 1986 and has influenced several generations of yoga teachers. There are over 100 recent graduates of this program which is offered also on the weekends, and in 4 week immersions. Richard has taught yoga workshops throughout the USA, at several Iyenger Yoga National Conventions, in Australia and India, and taught this spring in China.
