Register Now for Our 7th Annual 1 Year Weekend Yoga Teacher Training with Richard Schachtel. This 200 Hour Course is Approved By Yoga Alliance. The training starts Saturday, February 27, 2021
The Training is a Great Mix of Practice: learning the theory and practice of Iyengar Yoga with Yoga Philosophy, Anatomy for Yoga, Teaching Methodology, Practice Teaching and More.
The training draws students from the entire Puget Sound Region including Bellevue, Redmond, Kirkland, Everett, Lynnwood, Tacoma, Bainbridge and Vashon Islands.
The Training meets mostly on Saturdays 1-7pm with a few Sundays also 1-7pm.
The Fee for the Training is $4,000.
The course meets for 180 hours in Seattle. There is a minimum of 20 hours of homework

- The 200 Hour Weekend Teacher Training with 4 free make-ups is on Special for $1,299.Make-ups can be taken at appropriate, Select Evening, Daytime, and Weekend Teacher Training during this training and for a period of 1 year after the training ends. After the 4 free make-ups, additional make-ups are $30 for each 5-6 hour class and $20 for each 2-4 hour teacher training class.
- The 200-Hour Weekend Teacher Training with Unlimited Make-ups is also on Special This Week Through Sunday for $1,499.Make-ups can be taken at appropriate, select, Evening, Daytime, and Weekend Teacher Training during this training and for a period of 1 year after the training ends. There is No Charge for Make-Ups with This Option. We recommend choosing this option.

If we cannot meet in person, we will start the course Online, Live on Zoom until we can meet in person.
In July 2020 we started 2 1-year yoga teacher trainings live online streaming via the zoom app. The courses are going quite well and will switch to in studio instruction when it is safe and approved to do so. We will do the same thing with this course if we cannot start in studio.
Tuition is non-refundable.
In the event the start date of the course is postponed, refunds will not be given and the course will still end on time, by the end of 2022.
About the instructor: Richard Schachtel
Richard Schachtel has been training in Iyengar Yoga for over 40 years. He founded The Center For Yoga in 1980 and is a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher and an authorized Iyengar Yoga Teacher Trainer. He has made 22 yoga study trips to India to personally train with the Iyengar Family most recently in December 2016. Richard is the Seattle Area’s most Senior Iyengar Yoga Teacher. Richard has been training teachers in Seattle since 1986 and has influenced several generations of yoga teachers. There are over 100 recent graduates of this program which is offered also on the weekends, and in 4 week immersions. Richard has taught yoga workshops throughout the USA, at several Iyenger Yoga National Conventions, in Australia and India, and taught this spring in China.
