Accepting Help and Guidance

Many of us are taught to go it alone. We feel that we must struggle to make life work, to be successful, to get ahead. But what if we were never meant to do anything by yourself? What if you are indeed never alone anyway?! What if there is infinite and all loving support from your Divine Friend? We will explore how to nourish this relationship, but also learn how to trust and connect with supportive friends and community..

Price includes 6 nights beautiful accommodations at the Transition Retreat Center, most meals (about 14 meals), yoga, meditation, guided hikes, vortex visits, creek swimming, and other trips. We also include shuttles to all guided hikes, and shuttles from and to Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport (if you arrive in Phoenix by 11am Sunday, and fly out no earlier than 2pm Saturday; otherwise other shuttles are available). No worries if you do not have a room-mate, we will find you someone compatible. We will be staying right in the heart of Sedona, Arizona. Deluxe Accommodations in Sedona:

Our host home is called Transition Home, and transition is our theme! Nice spacious rooms, good views, wonderful setting in  the very heart of Sedona, amazing breakfasts, and lovely yoga space. We have the whole place to ourselves with no other guests or groups.

Meals:Sedona Arizona Yoga Hiking Healing Retreat-Holman health connections

Daily healthy, mostly organic breakfasts are included, usually a wide variety buffet of oatmeal, eggs, granola, cereal, nuts, seeds, nut butters, breads, various milks (diary and non-dairy), fresh fruit, flax, hemp, and much more. We will make sure all diets are met.

We also include fixings for most of the lunches, and three home-cooked delicious dinners. For other meals, we shop at a local natural foods store for our lunch or dinner fixings, which we keep at the hotel to take on hikes. Then we usually dine or lunch out 3 or 4 times, or you can save money and cook at the retreat center. As this is our 16th year in Sedona, we know the best places to eat, usually one night Thai, one night Fancy Mexican, one Italian, and one excellent Health food.

Teachers and Hike Guides: Roy Holman and Liz Gross

Roy Holman

Roy Holman:
I am a 500 hour Certified Yoga teacher, in the Viniyoga tradition. I teach a safe, gentle, body-friendly, grounded, breath-connected, meditative, flowing traditional hatha yoga – a meditation in motion really. I like to move slow, give time to breathe deeply and savor the poses. I also teach breath-work (pranayama) and meditation, and also try to incorporate the many aspects of emotional healing and balancing I have learned. The meditation is a mindfulness style, with focus on breath awareness, heart opening, body senses, emotional clearing, and connection on all levels (body, breath, emotions, Earth, Spirit).

Liz gross

Liz Gross:
“I believe all healing involves alignment of the soul with the body.” Liz is a gifted sound and vibration healer, and teaches with Roy on retreats. Liz teaches yoga, meditation, Oneness and often does some of the cooking on our retreats. “When you’re consciously in touch with the life energy within yourself, you have awareness & communication with the flow of energy that connects you to spirit. I feel very passionate about Vibrational Medicine and love working with others in this way & helping others to connect with their purpose and passion in life. Vibrational Energy Medicine brings the physical, emotional, mental, & spiritual bodies back into balance, which opens the way for rebuilding the healing systems of the body.”
