4th Annual Early Summer Immersion 200 HR Yoga Teacher Training with Richard Schachtel

The Center for Yoga of Seattle offers a unique 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training & In-Depth Studies Course with Richard Schachtel, one of the most experienced yoga teacher trainers in the US. The course is based upon Iyengar Yoga known as an Alignment and Precision Oriented System of Yoga. Regardless of what training you have had or what type of yoga you may want to teach in the future, having training in Iyengar Yoga is invaluable to understanding the Art of How to Practice and How to Teach.

Some of the Hallmarks of Iyengar Yoga:

• The skillful use of props to make yoga accessible to everyone, to make the practice more accurate, to give more stability, and to make yoga practice fascinating.

Richard Schachtel has been training yoga teachers in Seattle since 1986. He founded The Center For Yoga of Seattle in 1980. He was a close student of the late BKS Iyengar, and continues to train with his daughter Geeta Iyengar. Richard has traveled to India for training with The Iyengar Family 21 times, most recently in December 2015.

Richard has taught throughout the US, and in Australia, and India. He is planning his 22nd yoga study trip in the winter of 2016-2017.

BKS Iyengar was the most influential yoga teacher in world over the past 60 years. Some of his most famous books include, Light on Yoga, Light on Pranayama, Light on The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, and Light on Life. The course is approved by Yoga Alliance. Richard is one of the most prolific teacher trainers in Washington State, and his courses have influenced many generations of teachers.

4th Annual 4-WEEK EARLY SUMMER IMMERSION YOGA TEACHER TRAINING: May 31 – June 26, 2016

There will be 4 days off during the training.

The tuition for the course is $2,900.
