Michelle Chambers will join forces with Brian Charlton of Eastside Acro for this fun-filled workshop. Bring a friend or come alone to this basic introduction to all things partner yoga! We’ll explore whole class movements, stretches and balances in “Circle-asana” before creating small groups where we will experience partner folds and assisted stretches, standing partner Vinyasa and balances. About Michelle Chambers:
My teaching style is based on a breath-driven flow, moving grace to cultivate awareness, strength, and harmony of body and mind. I strive to empower students to develop a practice that is truely your own, while recognizing the powerful community of support that surrounds you in class, Whether it is Vinyasa, Hatha, or anything in between, I encourage an engaged, mindful practice imbued with heart, humor and flow.
About Brian Charlton:
Brian has been teaching one physical modality or another since he entered the work force at 15 years old. After catching the yoga bug in 2001, he decided to become a teacher, graduating from Sonic Yoga NYC in 2007. At the same time, he began to explore the beauty of the partner yoga practice and has never looked back. Practicing, playing, and teaching consistently since then.
Brian teaches many styles of yoga, including Vinyasa, Restorative, Yin, Paddleboard yoga, and Acro yoga. His classes all contain elements of breath, playfulness and awareness of movement. Through all of his teachings he simply hopes his students come away with a better understanding of their own ability, physically and mentally. The emphasis throughout his classes is simple: yoga is truly about union. Be it with the divine, between body and breath or your Acro Yoga partner!
