History of Ayurveda, its sources in ancient texts
Relationship between Yoga & Ayurveda
The 24 cosmic principles (Tattvas)
Review of the gunas
Review of the doshas
Review of the Ayurvedic dietary principles
Comparison between an Ayurvedic diet based on the doshas versus a yogic sattvic diet
The energetics of Ayurveda: prana, tejas & ojas
How western medicine views stress and the immune system
Comparative analysis of Ayurvedic, yogic and contemporary perspectives on prana and the subtle body
Nature & The Ayurvedic seasons
Daily rhythms
How to design and teach a yoga class: (a) to balance or tame a particular dosha; (2) inspired by the current Ayurvedic season; or (3) based on daily rhythms

You can buy the 300 HR teacher training two ways. Either purchase it module per module or buy all 15 modules and save $400.00. If you want to buy all 15, please look for the “Complete 300 Hour Teacher Training” under workshops.

To receive your 300-Hr diploma from Spira you must complete 15 modules and pass the final exam and presentation. The training can be completed in as little as 2 years. Most students can comfortably complete the training in 4 years. However, our program is flexible: You can study at your own pace, taking as many years as you need to finish all 15 modules. After each 4-year period, we will charge an additional $100 to reactivate your enrollment in the training

About the instructor: Carina Terra

Carina Terra

 

E-RYT 500, came to yoga after 11 years of studying dance, particularly ballet. She studied yoga therapy at the University of São Paulo, Brazil, with professor Marcos Rojo Rodrigues, a disciple of Swami Kuvalayananda, the great pioneer of yoga therapy and the scientific study of yoga. She has also studied with renowned teachers Ana Forrest, Shiva Rea, Baron Baptiste, JinSung, Tias Little, Amba & Don Stapleton, Sarah Powers, Edward Clark, Andrey Lappa, Colette Crawford, Shari Friedrichsen and Rod Stryker. In 2017, Carina was initiated in the Sri Vidya Tantra tradition in India by Pandit Rajmani Tigunait, Ph.D., spiritual head of the Himalayan Institute (HI) and successor of Swami Rama of the Himalayas. She now retreats to HI three times a year to meditate and study with Panditji. She also continues to be inspired by the teachings of Shari Friedrichsen and Rod Stryker as well as Sandra Anderson, all teachers in the Sri Vidya lineage.
