Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the retreat for 2020 has been cancelled and RESCHEDULED for April 23-25, 2021. Details for 2021 will be coming soon! We are so excited to plan for 2021 to make it even better than 2020! We can’t wait to let you know the details!!

How can our yoga practice and reflection cultivate harmony and peace in our lives? Let Emily and Shelia guide you through an entire weekend dedicated to this question! Learn ways to create space in your life for more energy and perspective to navigate life’s many ebbs and flows.

Meditation, Nidra, Yin, and grounding flow practices throughout the weekend are designed to liven the spirit and wisdom that is you! Get ready to answer some deep questions to find renewed path and direction.

Stay in the beautiful woods of Leavenworth at the Sleeping Lady Retreat Center. Meals included on the grounds with locally sourced meals. 7-8:15am: Yoga Practice

10-11:30am Lecture: Ayurveda
11:30-1:00pm: Lunch
1:00-3:30pm: Free Time or go on a hike with Roselyn Robison: Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest – Icicle Gorge Trailhead
4-5:30pm Lecture: Journaling – Clarify your thoughts and feelings, health-benefits, reduce stress, deep dive into self-awareness
5:30-7pm: Dinner
7:15-8:30pm: Yin Yoga Practice or Yoga Nidra Meditation

Sunday, April 25th
7-8:15am: Yoga Practice
8:30-9:30am: Breakfast
9:30-10:30am: Closing Circle

About the Instructors:

Most Recent Training: Pre/PostNatal Yoga Teacher Training

What to Expect in Class: Positive affirmations; time to be connected with the body and breath; awareness of alignment and fills classes with ways to honor where your body and mind are on that day. All yoga classes end with a moment to reflect on gratitude. Due to her experience teaching privates and special populations she has a sharp eye for precision and knowledge to modify and adjust if chronic or acute pain or unique needs are present.

Biggest Influences/Inspirations Styles: Ayurveda, Pilates elder teacher Marie Jose Blom, Buddhist Meditation, Viniyoga, Pilates technique to challenge and strengthen, rehabilitation applications, yoga therapy, yoga healing, and finding the calm in our stressful, modern life.

Emily is currently teaching Pilates Reformer classes, as well as Yoga Fundamentals, Gentle Yoga, Restoratives, Prenatal yoga and Mother and Baby Postnatal yoga classes.

Shelia Cowart

Shelia is a fully certified STOTT PILATES® Instructor and received her training at Bodycenter Studios in Seattle, WA. Her extensive training and practice has given her the mental and physical discipline, increased awareness and skill to identify any alignment issues her clients may have and build custom fitness regimes around her clients to begin the process of correction.

Shelia also holds certifications in various disciplines such as BalleCore Barre, TRX® Suspension Trainer and TRX® Rip Trainer which all integrate very well with Pilates. Shelia also has been STOTT trained in Injury and Special Populations, Halo® Training Instructor Foundation Course-Part 1, Equipment Programming for Scoliosis Management, Athletic Conditioning on the Stability Chair™, Merrithew™ Fascial Movement Foundation Course- Level One, ZENGA® Instructor Foundation Course, Equipment, Level 1, Osteoporosis and Pilates, Pelvis and Lumbar Spine, Shoulder Girdle, Anatomy, Bosu/Toning Balls, Athletic Reformer, GAIT, and Posture Analysis. In addition, she has taken various workshops in pre/post-natal, obesity, aging population, Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, injury prevention and post-rehabilitation.
