There are many ways to develop more ease in forward bending without back discomfort. There is a pathway to improvement that should be learned.
This type of movement is more readily accessed from standing poses so we will start with these type of poses often using simple props for support such as a wall, chair, and blocks.
Later we will practice some of the classical forward extensions and learn how to adapt them to individual needs by skillfully using props, by practicing important stages of poses and learning the correct actions at every stage.
Yoga is for all. No one is too stiff, old, overweight to practice this kind of yoga. This workshop is for everybody.
The workshop is open to all including beginners to yoga and those new to the Iyengar Method of Yoga.
