Do you know how many yoga poses are available to us? Hundreds? Thousands? Legend claims that there are 84 million yoga poses! Many of these are unknown to us today, but there are still several thousand that have been documented for us over the centuries. Have you ever wondered what the benefits of these yoga poses are? What downward facing dog does for you? Why shavasana is so relaxing? Or why you feel exhilarated after a headstand or handstand?

If so, this event is for you! Every yoga pose we do affects every layer of our being; physiological, psychological, and spiritual. It is because of this deep integration that we sometimes feel super elated or a buzz after an intense yoga class – a feeling caused by the deep work of the various yoga poses. The physical practice of yoga consists of practicing and holding many asanas, or yoga poses, carried out in a special sequence. These look like mere body contortions to the untrained eye, but there is so much more to it!

By attending our ‘Benefits of Yoga Poses’ workshop you will learn not only about the benefits of your favorite yoga poses but also understand the power of yoga sequencing to efficiently get a desired effect. Think of it as creating a recipe for your mind and body – a little bit of this, a little bit of that to create the perfect balance and harmony.

Date: Saturday, February 23rd from 2:00pm-4:00pm
