What exactly are chakras? Well, it’s not some special chocolate. It’s all about energy, both in the physical and subtle body. In a series of pop-up classes, we will explore the chakra system through movement, pranayama, and discussion on the origin and meaning of these energy centers. The first session will include an overview of the seven main chakras and how they affect mind and body. In the following months, we will take a deep dive into each individual chakra, complete with poses, breathwork and vibrational sounds. If you were curious about chakras, this will be an easygoing approach to learning more about how they work within you and how yoga can help you unlock the energy of the chakras.
Date and Time: Friday, September 8, 6:00-7:30 PM
Cost: $25 drop in or purchase all 7 remaining sessions for $150
About the instructor: Seanna Browder
Seanna received her 200- and 500-hour teacher training from 8 Limbs Yoga where she studied anatomy, pranayama, the Sutras and ayurveda. When the world stopped with Covid, she continued to study with Prajna Yoga in Santa Fe, New Mexico, thanks to Zoom. She so appreciates teachers that have been influential along her yoga journey: Chiara Guerriera, Melina Meza, Shari Friedrichsen, Tias Little, and Rod Stryker. Yoga has been great gift in her life and she is so excited to share it with others. Seanna views yoga as multi-dimensional, and her teaching philosophy is to make yoga work approachable whatever the student’s needs may be. She has been teaching yoga for a decade in Seattle. Yoga offers so much, from stretching the body to opening the mind. It’s a way of connecting to oneself and others in the community. It can provide great insight and a lot of fun. Seanna is excited to be part of the community at Magnolia Yoga and Healing Arts and explore the path of yoga with others.
