Join Maria Williquette for a deeply nourishing and inspiring weekend of yoga asana practice, breath work, meditation, dharma talks, and amazing community. We’ll create our intentions for the year and take time to reflect on the year that just ended. Come with an open mind and be prepared not only to dig deep into your yoga practice, but also explore what it means to be you, to be human in today’s culture, and how to create a calmer, safer, and more resonant life. Maria seamlessly melds her two professions of yoga teaching and psychotherapy to present a rich array of yogic material in a fresh and engaging way. All levels of yoga experience are warmly welcome; all you need is curiosity and a willingness to grow. Special guest Julia Canfield will join us to teach a special 90 min workshop during the retreat!

About the Teacher:

Maria Williquette Yoga SeattleMaria Williquette has long been involved in the yoga community of Seattle, with teaching as her primary emphasis since 2009 and she is excited to be teaching at Aditi. Although more days than not Maria can be found practicing and teaching yoga, she is also an avid gardener, cyclist, reader, hiker, and world traveler. While traveling, Maria has studied yoga in places as diverse as Argentina, South Africa, India, and Nepal. Maria has completed two 200 hr yoga teacher trainings and specializes in using yoga as a therapeutic and healing modality.
As a teacher, Maria embodies depth and connection; joy and creativity. She will certainly arrive to class with a smile and she delights in connecting with every student who attends class with her. Both on and off the mat, Maria looks to each moment of each day for opportunities to learn and to practice gratitude. Maria is also a Marriage and Family Therapist in private practice near Greenlake. She works with families, couples, and individuals using a holistic and strengths-based approach to growth. It is Maria’s passion to combine the wisdom of yoga with the study of psychology to create deep healing.
