costa-rica-flowerPura vida!

Come visit the lush, wild, and wonderful Caribbean side of Costa Rica. After three years on the Pacific coast, we moved our yoga retreat to the less touristy Caribbean side. We hold our yoga retreat at the beautiful Tierra de Suenos, but we will also have a relaxing first and last night of the trip at the lovely Adventure Inn, about 10 minutes from San Jose airport.

We will have daily yoga, meditation, beach hikes, wildlife, workshops, community and great, healthy, tasty meals. And of course swimming and snorkeling. We usually see monkeys, sloths, coatis, and much more. Please see website below for more details.

Theme:

Compassion will be our theme for this retreat. Compassion includes acceptance of self, others, and life situations.  Compassion moves us out of resistance and suffering to joy and love. We will also explore moving out of patterns of judgment, resistance and limits.

Schedule: Mar. 6th – 14th, 2020

Meals:

Our meals are served on the lovely jungle porch. Two meals a day are included in your price, for the six days on the beach. This is the way we prefer to do it, for two reasons. It keeps the price down, and also keeps us fro overeating! But we also get some free to time sample local restaurants and eateries, rather than be bound to the lodge. You also receive free breakfasts for the two mornings in San Jose.

Yoga:

Heart centered, body-friendly, breath connected yoga for every body. Please see details on the style of yoga on instructor page. morning and late afternoon classes each day, with other playshops.

Your Hosts:

roy-holman Roy Holman: I am a 500 hour Certified Yoga teacher, in the Viniyoga tradition. I teach a safe, gentle, body-friendly, grounded, breath-connected, meditative, flowing traditional hatha yoga – a meditation in motion really. I like to move slow, give time to breathe deeply and savor the poses. I also teach breath-work (pranayama) and meditation, and also try to incorporate the many aspects of emotional healing and balancing I have learned. The meditation is a mindfulness style, with focus on breath awareness, heart opening, body senses, emotional clearing, and connection on all levels (body, breath, emotions, Earth, Spirit).

liz-gross Liz Gross: “I believe all healing involves alignment of the soul with the body.” Liz is a gifted sound and vibration healer, and teaches with Roy on retreats. Liz teaches yoga, meditation, Oneness and often does some of the cooking on our retreats. “When you’re consciously in touch with the life energy within yourself, you have awareness & communication with the flow of energy that connects you to spirit. I feel very passionate about Vibrational Medicine and love working with others in this way & helping others to connect with their purpose and passion in life. Vibrational Energy Medicine brings the physical, emotional, mental, & spiritual bodies back into balance, which opens the way for rebuilding the healing systems of the body.”
