Aya Yoga Oasis is happy to announce our first-ever Creative Meditation partnership with instructor Alexis LaFlamme.

In this session of Creative Meditation, participants will focus on learning the process of making neurographic art. “Neurographic art” was coined in 2014 by Russian psychologist Pavel Piskarev. It is easy for anyone to learn and has been used as a healing aid for everything from stress relief to anxiety, chronic pain, grief, and many more ailments.

The cost of this workshop is $50 per person; current Aya members save 10%. Subject to cancellation in the event of low enrollment (so invite a friend!).

About the instructor:

Alexis LaFlamme is an abstract artist based in West Seattle. She creates in many different mediums, but her favorites are acrylics and alcohol inks because of their vivid pigmentation.

Through the use of nuanced rich colors and ethereal shapes, her work speaks to the underlying flow connecting all things. She is often inspired by the patterns and forms of nature, including water, trees and plants, the sky; all the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Alexis’s artwork has been sold to private collectors and has been shown at multiple galleries and art fairs throughout the PNW.

Since 2017, Alexis has been leading groups in a wide variety of creative projects including art journaling, block printing, polymer clay, blackout poetry, ink/acrylic/watercolor projects, Zen doodling and neurographic art. She loves to share creative activities with artists and non-artists alike as a form of creative relaxation, reflection and meditation.
