Deep Dive Vinyasa
Jan 19, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm| $25 – $30
Yoga is like a vast ocean, with infinite waves of teachings. Are you ready to take a deeper dive into this vastness? Because Karina is ready to take you there, by turning the typical 1hr power vinyasa practice into a 2hr Deep Dive experience. Karina will be focusing deeply on these three waves of teachings; Pranayama (the regulation of the breath through certain techniques and exercises), chanting (a rhythmical repetition of a song, prayer, word or sound) and meditation (a technique for resting the mind and attaining a state of consciousness that is totally different from the normal waking state.)
These three techniques are like doorways into the soul. They help bridge the gap between mind, body, and spirit.
To enhance your ability to focus inwardly the rhythm and sound of your breath will become the music for class. With no outer stimulus of music, there will be more opportunity for you dive deeply into the vastness within yourself.
The structure of this workshop:
- 15 min Pranayama
- 10 min Chanting
- 5 min Meditation
- 1hr 15min Asana – Physical Practice
- 10 min – Savasana
- 5 min – Loving Kindness Meditation
Cost: $25 in advance, $30 at the door
About the instructor:
Based out of Seattle WA, Karina Brossmann has been reveling in the world of sound and movement for over a decade. She received her BFA in Theater from Cornish College of the Arts, her 200 RYT yoga certification with Reflections Yoga, and has written and performed throughout Washington with former college band Annabel Lee and sister/flutist Bevani.
In 2014 she decided it was finally time to create her own, original album. She teamed up with the Canadian Baker brother-duo to produce nine gorgeous pop-ballads that will be released early 2016, titled “Love Unbroken.”
When Karina is not singing and performing around town, she teaches yoga at multiple studios across the Greater-Seattle area and holds private mentorship sessions for young girls (ages 8-18) looking for support in unleashing their unique voice.
