Embracing Imperfections Through The Lens Of Yoga with Anja Kellner-Rogers
Jul 25, 2020 @ 10:00 am - 12:30 pm| $25
Do you ever find yourself searching for a life that’s different than the one you have? Are you often distracted from the present moment because you feel the next moment has something better or more to offer you?
If so, you’re not alone. Although perfection in reality is an unattainable pursuit, many of us still feel unable to release it’s constant grip. The pressure to be better and do better, look better and feel better is rampant in our society, and can feel suffocating and paralyzing, leaving very little room for relaxation and ease in our lives.
Join Anja for a 2.5 hour workshop designed to help you forge a deeper friendship with yourself and begin to embrace the things in your life that you habitually find yourself fighting against. We’ll flow through an asana practice aimed to wake up our hearts, and we’ll dive deep into yoga philosophy and meditation to guide us on the path of embracing our flaws and loving what’s before us. This workshop is for anyone who is interested in learning more about cultivating a friendly attitude toward one’s self and one’s own life. All are welcome!
Date & Time: Jul. 25th, 2020 @10am-12:30pm
About the instructor: Anja Kellner-Rogers
Anja Kellner-Rogers is a dance artist and yoga teacher based in Seattle, WA, she grew up in upstate New York.
In a class with Anja, you can expect to receive an offering that is meant for you, for you to unfold into yourself, for you to listen and receive the intelligence that resides in both your physical and emotional body. We will work the body physically, we will sweat and move and play, but we will also be still and listen to the movement that resides within our stillness. You can expect to feel challenged but also fully supported and celebrated just as you are today, in every moment. You can also expect to relax into the unexpected, to open up to the exploration of the unknown and to breathe, always breathe.
