HOT YOGA’S MOST SENIOR TEACHER

Join the wonderful Emmy Cleaves for a weekend of workshops at The Studios in Seattle this September 10th and 11th, 2016.

Emmy has been teaching Bikram Yoga since 1974. Join Emmy this Sept 10th and 11th 2016 at The Studios Seattle (Downtown). All proceeds will go to benefit the Wilderness Conservancy.

On Saturday-Sunday, September 10-11, Seattle hosts Emmy Cleaves—a world-renowned Bikram Yoga teacher in her 80s with more 35 years of experience—as part of a charity weekend in aid of World Conservancy (WILDCON). The weekend is open to Yogis of all skill levels and all proceeds will go directly to WILDCON, the foundation dedicated to the conservation of endangered and threatened wildlife founded by Emmy’s husband, Bob.

Emmy has amassed a huge following across the globe from California to India, and is a fascinating example of what Yoga can do for the mind, body and spirit. She took her first Yoga class in 1950, after emigrating to the US from Latvia as a WWII refugee. Emmy began seriously studying Yoga in 1973 after meeting Bikram founder Bikram Choudhury, and to this day, Emmy teaches at the international yoga headquarters in Los Angeles. She is over 85 years old.

The Seattle Yoga weekend comprises a series of posture clinics and classes at The Studios on 5th Avenue.
