Explore the Koshas & warm Yin Yoga with Kellie

Your physical, energetic, mental, awareness and bliss bodies are layered like an onion. Each with their own vibration and personal signature. Some are formed consciously and by our environment, others are directed by our spiritual path and genetic codes.

Ever found yourself wondering “Who am I” or ” What is my purpose?”. The answers may surprise you and can be found through exploration in the Koshas. We will explore these 5 layers of being through the work of Jnana Yoga, the yoga of understanding or “The direct path”. In this 90 min workshop, we will dissect and explore the 5 layers of Kosha. Gaining tools of awareness that will help us step foot on the path of self discovery. To aid our journey, we will traverse through a Yin Yoga practice in the hot room, set to a temperature of 90 degrees.

As your guide it is my intention to provide knowledge of Koshas, Prana and deep release through asana during our time together. Please invite your friends and loved ones to come and experience this soul searching, mind expanding, body opening workshop. Prior to the event you have signed up for, you will receive instruction on what to bring, how to dress and how to set your intention for the most powerful experience. I am so honored to have this chance to share such an amazing meditative practice with my Bindi community.

About the instructor: Kellie Mathay

Kellie Mathay

My mom took me to my very first yoga class at the YMCA when I was 17. I instantly fell in love. The movement, so purposeful, the breathing, so rhythmic, the energy, dancing like flame. Over the past 25 years of practice I have become more and more reliant on the benefits yoga has brought to my body and mind. In my early 20’s it gave me a place to feel strong and independent, I could trust my body to support me and it was easier to trust the world. When I started having children, the rhythmic movement brought me peace and strength in the midst of such an emotionally charged time. Into my early 30’s, I engaged in yoga to find stillness and quiet. Like a serine lake, my mind could reflect ripples of thought but remain undisturbed under the surface. Now into the early part of my 40’s I find joy in the supple movement and gentle tranquility that this incredible practice brings to my life. There have been few things in life that have affected me so deeply and brought so much personal benefit. It is my intention to share this amazingly artistic, fluid, ever changing medium of connection and growth. I hope to inspire my students to dig deep, bend with strength and be still in even the most turbulent waters.
