Alignment Yoga Teacher Training in Seattle With Richard Schachtel Director, The Center For Yoga of Seattle in Ravenna.
Richard Schachtel is one of the most experienced yoga teacher trainers in the US. He has been offerening teacher training since 1986. He also gives this course as a 1-year training either meeting weekly during the daytime, in the evening, and on the weekends. He also gives the 4-week immersion each December in Goa India.
Schedule: Sept. 4th – 29th, 2018
The course starts at 2:00 pm on Tuesday Sept. 4th and follows the following schedule:
- Mondays 1:15 pm – 7:45 pm
- Tuesdays 1:15 pm – 10:00 pm (Starts at 2 pm the first day)
- Wednesdays 1:15 pm – 10:00 pm
- Thursdays 10:00 am – 7:45 pm
- Fridays 11:15 am – 8:10 pm
- Saturdays 10:45 am – 7:10 pm
- Sundays Off

About the Teacher: Richard Schachtel
Richard Schachtel has been training in Iyengar Yoga for over 40 years which emphasis developing a practice with a high degree of precision of alignment. He founded The Center For Yoga in 1980 and is a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher and an authorized Iyengar Yoga Teacher Trainer. He has made 22 yoga study trips to India to personally train with the Iyengar Family most recently in December 2017. Richard is the Seattle Area’s most Senior Iyengar Yoga Teacher. Richard has been training teachers in Seattle since 1986 and has influenced several generations of yoga teachers. There are over 125 recent graduates of this program which is offered also in a Weekday Evening Format, as a Weekend Only Training, and in 4 -Week Immersions offered several times a year.
