Strengthen Your Body and Restore Your Health! Our bodies were made to move, so sitting for extended periods of time can limit mobility and sabotage our overall wellbeing. Maybe you’ve heard the saying, “motion is lotion.” Movement helps keep our bodies feeling young and alive, enabling us to keep doing the things we love to do.

Whether you’re back to sitting behind a desk, or behind the wheel of your car, or if you find that you’re moving less and perhaps hanging out on the couch more, your body is soon going to tell you that it needs your attention.

The monthly Posture Lab series helps students refine their alignment and learn to live well in their bodies. Each month, Claudette helps students explore functional movement exercises and drills to help strengthen the body, restore muscle function, improve posture, and provide overall relief.

Here’s what’s coming this fall:

  • September 10, 2022 | Session #1: Ankle Strength & Mobility
Learn exercises to help increase the range of motion of your ankle. We’ll explore drills to stretch and strengthen the ankles, enabling greater ease for walking, helping support the knees and hip joints, prevent injuries, maintain balance, and boost our performance in all of our activities.

  • October 15, 2022 | Session #2: Wrist Strength & Mobility
Learn strategies to support our often overworked and under appreciated forearms and wrists. We’ll work to increase strength, extensibility, and mobility, exploring release, lengthening (both static and dynamic), and activation techniques to increase the mobility of the wrist, creating greater support and ease.

  • November 12, 2022 | Session #3: Shoulder Strength & Mobility
Learn strategies to increase strength, extensibility and mobility of the shoulders. We will explore release techniques, lengthening (both static and dynamic) and activation techniques to support and strengthen the muscles that provide the stability, mobility and freedom of the shoulder joint.

This workshop series is appropriate for all ages and levels of yoga experience.
