About the instructor: Kristen Stevens

Kristen Stevens

Kristen began practicing yoga back in Boston in 1999. When she moved to L.A. yoga became an important part of her new life on the west coast. After the birth of her twin boys she realizes she wanted to go deeper with her practice and share the benefits with others. She became a certified teacher in 2013 and continues to learn through trainings and her students.

In her classes you will find support and compassion as she invites students to connect body, breath and mind. Kristen offers poses and breathing techniques to help strengthen and energize as well as restore and relax. Kristen strives to meet students where they are by offering gentle guidance and modifications while allowing for safe and supportive exploration of going a bit deeper.

There is so much to discover of our Self and the journey there is what drives her to teach.

In her spare time, Kristen enjoys reading, cooking, traveling, and spending time outdoors with her family.

Trained in the Viniyoga tradition, Kristen admires Gary Kraftsow. Recent influences have been Donna Farhi and Shari Friedrichsen. She is fond of the many instructors who have also influenced her personal practice and brought her to explore teaching yoga herself.
