The fascial system is an interconnected, communicating tensional network that contributes to our form, physiological health, perception and attitude as well as postural and movement patterns. Fascial architecture adapts to the way we stand, move, think and treat ourselves.

Fascia, in synergy with muscles and bones, connect all parts of the body. In the Anatomy Trains concept developed by Thomas Myers, these body-wide continuities are called myofascial meridians. Each line has unique postural, movement and sensory qualities AND each line is an integral part of a whole myofascial meridian system in which there is no real separation.

Through lecture and specific movement sequences, you will:

✔ Learn the myofascial components of each meridian
✔ Recognize their influence on postural and movement patterns
✔ Gain an understanding of how Yoga can open and nourish the lines, and why alignment-based Yoga is highly recommended by fascia scientists
✔ Gain greater skill and variety in teaching asana poses and vinyasa
✔ Fall in love with Yoga!

Myofascial Meridians that we’ll cover:

✔ Superficial Back Line
✔ Superficial Front Line
✔ Lateral Line
✔ Spiral Line
✔ Deep Front Line
