About the instructors:

Serena

Serena
I am a compassionate and refreshing teacher known for challenging and encouraging her students in all environments. Using a physical practice that facilitates mental growth, she can guide all levels of yoga per the capabilities of her students. Serena’s passion lies within helping find balance and peace in the body and space we inhabit. “Yoga is self study, one which you will never know all answers, always learning, always being a work in progress.” I teach Vinyasa, Hatha, Yoga Nidra and Yin. I enjoy nature and being outside with friends and my dog. Relieve tension from the body, and stress from the mind. Come take a class today!

Malia

Malia
After discovering her love for yoga in 2005, Malia sought out every workshop and training she could find. She got her certification several years later and began teaching. For Malia yoga is about the holistic living and union between body, mind, and soul – and having fun! She teaches Power, Flow, Hatha, and Yin in order to help you better care for and listen to your body, understand the connections within yourself, and have a FUN practice you feel good and confident in.

Jennifer

Jennifer
I started yoga to help with a lower back injury in 2012. In 2015, I completed my 200 hour Hatha teacher training and 200 hour Power Vinyasa teacher training. The trainings started me on a journey of self-discovery. I have attended other workshops for Sculpt, Yin and Wall. Then in 2018, I completed my Barre certification. I love being both a student and a teacher that can use the knowledge I have learned to help others.

Saralyn

Saralyn
My first inspiration for becoming a yoga instructor came from wanting to have a place to do yoga with my son, so I could have quality time with him during a busy time in my life and still get in a yoga class, so I pursued a young people yoga teacher training first. Since I have discovered all of the amazing things yoga really can do for both kids and adults, and then took my 200-hour adult yoga teacher training as well.

I have completed Next Generation Yoga’s training for Young People Ages 2-7, Global Family Yoga’s family yoga teacher certification course, and a 200-hour adult training certification through Sattva Yoga in Redmond with Ali Valdez. I am currently taking an 80-hour prenatal yoga certification through Mamata Yoga.

shay

Shay
Shay’s love affair with fitness began with cheer and dance during her school years, but expanded to include triathlons, marathons and spinning upon graduation. After years of high-intensity training, Shay needed a low-impact exercise to alleviate rheumatoid arthritis. She discovered a love for barre because it combined strength with low-impact exercises. She coupled barre with yoga, which she’d been prating and teaching for the past 9 years, to create the ultimate fitness routine.

Shay has been AFFA group fitness certified for over 10+ years. She’s obtained her 200-hour registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance. She has her Barre certification, and booty barre certification, and spin certification. She creates and teaches barre certification classes and refresher courses for her staff.

Ali

ALI
Ali teaches grounding, musically-inspired yoga classes incorporating restorative yoga, myofascial release techniques and practices that incorporate strength building and stress-relief. She discovered yoga in college as a powerful tool for calming the mind and connecting to the inner self. An accountant by day and yoga instructor by night, she’s a huge advocate of creating a healthy work-life-balance and desires to bring mindfulness, body awareness and empowerment to her students.

Bailey

Bailey
I began yoga in 2010 for mental clarity and then I realized it was a great workout too! Yoga helped with my flexibility and hip mobility, and I loved how it made me feel so I took the leap and completed my Yoga teacher training through CorePower yoga in 2014. I enjoyed teaching so much, I got my Barre certification shortly after that! I enjoy developing challenging, intelligent sequences that allow my students to feel confident in more ways than one. I love connecting with students and having fun in my classes!

Erika

Erika
After the arrival of a special needs child and a debilitating joint injury in 2009, I began to take my self-taught practice to another level, using Yoga to heal the injury and find peace amidst chaos.
I started teaching Barre in 2016 after listening to the Universe guiding me to it, and at this point I really discovered my joy for teaching others and guiding them through ways to help themselves feel better.
I decided I wanted to expand the ways I could help people by becoming a Yoga instructor as well, and after 15 years of personal practice, I took a RYT-200 hour training.
I look forward to seeing you at the Barre or on your mat!
