MONTHLY SERIES with special guest Lara Sanderson

In the Tantric tradition, the full moon represents the vast, glowing radiance of our consciousness. When at its resplendent peak, it is said the moon pours her nectarian essence into us, reminding us of our own inherent light and wholeness. This series, formerly guided by Rainey, is an invitation to gather in community around a moon-strewn mandala of yogic arts. Everyone is welcome to this in-studio circle.

We will practice movement, chanting, breathing, meditation, and rest as we dance with and honor the sacredness of our embodiment. Integrating the moon’s outpouring at this time can bring forth profound healing and stillness of being. This practice provides a safe place to release accumulated stress and prepare for the new month to come.

About the instructor: Lara Sanderson

Lara-Sanderson

I began studying yoga more than 25 years ago after training to dance professionally. My sister brought me to my first haṭha-yoga class, during which I landed intimately within the very alive, miraculous, interior landscape of my body. Several years later, my father Marty, a long-time practitioner of Siddha Yoga, introduced me to mantra and the guru principle. Unable to comprehend the teachings at the time, I sought guidance from advanced practitioners and came to recognize that a significant seed of awareness had been planted much earlier. For the past decade, that introductory seed has grown into the full-time study and practice of meditation. This spontaneous evolution and the fruits of my devotional practice have been greatly enriched under the guidance of Sally Kempton, a former Vedic Swami from my father’s yogic lineage.

I am an avid explorer of methods that expand meditative awareness and support the body’s physical requirements in partnering with awakened energy. My personal sadhana—spiritual discipline and path—draws from Iyengar, Anusara, Siddha Yoga, dance, reiki, and qi gong. I love gardening, cooking, writing, art, and animals. I am a certified Yoga Alliance teacher and reiki practitioner.

It is my utmost joy to share with and be of service to others who are discovering and following their own unique spiritual path. My wish for the world is that everyone develops the inherent power that resides within. When individuals master peace, so too will our communities.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
