Opening up and freeing your hips yoga workshop

Flexible, stable and strong hips are very important for comfort in the activities of everyday life, and for advancing your Yoga Asana Practice. The Center of Yoga of Seattle is offering this as a 3 hour workshop so that there is time to learn specific sequences of poses and precise usages of props that are very effective in increasing the range of movement in your hip joints.

Some of the practices taught in this workshop are highly effective yet seldom taught in a regular 90 minute weekly yoga class.

Richard Schachtel has taught this workshop for many years. He has been practicing yoga for over 3 decades and is one of the most experienced yoga teachers in the US. He has trained in the therapeutic uses of Iyengar Yoga in India and the US for several decades.

The workshop is open to all levels of yoga students from all yoga traditions.

Richard practices and teaches the Iyengar Method of Yoga widely known for its precision, individualized approach to practice, and it’s therapeutic applications often using precise usages of yoga props.
