It can often seem that in order to get deeper into one’s yoga practice the next step must be yoga teacher training. However, the desire to become a yoga instructor is not a prerequisite to strengthening your yoga practice. This is why we’ve created Immersion: Yoga Student Training. This 5 month long experience is an exploration of the depth of yoga philosophy and practices, without the requirement of also learning to teach yoga postures. This is a time for you, as a student, to bring intentional focus to your practice while connecting with others doing the same. Yoga is about connection, and this immersion is an opportunity for you to connect to yourself, to your practice, to the wisdom yoga provides, and to a community of practitioners.

This course is for you if:

  • You are considering taking yoga teacher training as a way into deeper study, but don’t necessarily wish to teach.
  • You want to move away from the Western understanding of yoga as simply a fitness modality.
  • You want to learn about the history and complexity of yoga.
  • You teach yoga but feel you are losing connection with your own practice as a student.
  • You’ve had a yoga practice in the past, but it has fallen away and you would like to reinvigorate it.
  • You would like to become part of a supportive community of practitioners engaged in studying yoga at more depth than you currently have access to.
