Intro To Yoga Series

The Intro to Yoga Series is a great place to start your practice. At 8 Limbs we select our most senior and experienced instructors to provide what can be the introduction to a lifelong practice. Rest assured that your instructor will be welcoming, accommodating, and foster a non-competitive and safe atmosphere in class. These six-week sessions are designed for anyone new to hatha yoga or continuing students interested in reconnecting to the fundamentals of a physical yoga practice, including basic yoga postures and breathing practices.
Upon completion of the series, you will receive a free 3 Week All Access pass to start your journey!

Cost for 6-week series: $150
Note: Our series require a minimum of five registered participants, by five days before the start date; if you are considering joining please register early.
Cancellation Policy: Refunds of 90% up to five days prior to the start of the series. No refunds allowable after that time.
About the instructors: Nancy Burtenshaw, Karen Gamble
What to expect in Nancy’s class: Nancy creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere and delivers a steady, grounded practice that is encouraging, supportive and challenging. She has an eye for detail and alignment and provides instructions that are stair stepped and inspired so that before you know it you’ll be pushing your growth edge and doing something you never thought was possible.
Main Influences/ Styles/ Traditions: Nancy is a licensed and Certified Anusara instructor. She is very grateful for the extensive training and mentors she has had in Anusara over the course of the last decade as well as many other influential teachers that have shaped her teaching including: Tiffany Wood, Karen Sprute-Francovich, Noah Maze, Darren Rhodes, Christina Sell, Jason Crandell, and Baron Baptiste. Nancy has also pursued specialized training in Prenatal, Restorative Yoga, and iRest Yoga Nidra level 1.
What to expect in Karen’s class: A mix of mindfulness, pranayama and love, love, love. Karen teaches the Intro Series at Phinney Ridge where she provides enough information and self-compassion to motivate students into yoga studios everywhere. She also teaches inspired vinyasa flow and mindful yin classes.
Main Influences/Styles/Traditions: Ruth Bader Ginsberg, Mohammad Ali, Nelson Mandela, Vipassana, Vinyasa, Yin.
Karen is a certified Health Coach, ERYT500 Yoga Instructor and if you were to ask the people in her life, a good friend. She is as inspired as she is inspiring and always looking for what brings us “up” and recognizes the appropriateness of downtime. A true introverted extrovert. You can catch her teaching classes around town or hire her for private sessions, come as you are and know that you are working with someone who believes you are meant to shine.
