Are you new to yoga, coming back to yoga, or would just like to learn more about yoga fundamentals? Then this series is for you! This is a 5 week series, one class per week, that you sign up for as a package deal. Each week builds on the previous week. This series will help to familiarize you with many of the fundamental yoga asanas (poses), pranayama (breathing practices), and concepts that you will encounter in regular yoga classes. By the end of the series, you should feel comfortable coming to any of our Yoga Fundamentals, Hatha, Slow Flow, Yin, Restorative, and Unwind yoga classes. After a month or so of attending those classes regularly, you might feel comfortable incorporating some Essential Flow classes into your repertoire as well. Just take it at your own pace. Feel free to take this course as many times as you like in the future if you would like a refresher.

About the instructor: Yuko Enomoto
Yuko-EnomotoYuko has been teaching yoga for more than 15 years, but considers herself an eternal student. She has taught yoga to people of all ages and abilities, and believes that anyone can practice it regardless of health condition. If you can breathe, you can do yoga.

Yuko likes to teach balanced flows that engage the whole body, but will occasionally lead sessions that target specific issues or areas of the body. Her classes begin with intention setting and breath work, followed by a short meditation before moving onto asanas.

When not teaching or practicing yoga, Yuko uses her background in journalism to write and edit for Chin Music Press, an indie publisher in the Pike Place Market. She can also be found hawking clothes and gifts at a boutique in the Village. Don’t hesitate to say β€œhi” when you see her!
