Intro to Yoga with Amy Brightman

Are you curious about yoga but don’t know where to start? Are you looking to rediscover your practice? Join us for the Intro to Yoga Series beginning in April as we look at and discuss how the foundational poses can fit your unique body.The Intro to Yoga Series is a five-week series designed to give the novice yogi (or those wanting a refresher) an understanding of the foundational poses and breath work encountered in any vinyasa or flow based class. You will discover the anatomical principles for the sun salutations and warrior poses along with some twists, backbends and hip openers. Classes will meet once a week for 75 minutes on the following Sunday afternoons from 11:15am-12:30pm: April 7th, April 14th, April 21st, April 28th & May 5th.
The investment for the series is $120 and it also allows you to take any of the regularly scheduled classes during the five weeks you are taking the intro series.
*A minimum of 8 students must be registered for this series in order for classes to be held. In the event the series is cancelled all payments will be fully refunded.

About the instructor: Amy Brightman
From the moment I took my first yoga class I knew that yoga was more than just simple movement, but it wasn’t until years later that I came to understand the powerful dynamics of body, mind and breath moving as one. I attended my first teacher training at Samadhi Yoga in Seattle where I developed a solid foundation in yogic philosophy and a practice that shot my heart space wide open. I finished my second teacher training at Be Luminous Yoga in Seattle where I found my courage and voice. I practice yoga because it keeps me sane, grounded and connected. I teach because I want to give back to the practice that has given me so much. My classes flow from the heart and are infused with the rhythm of breath, strength, joy and humor.
