This 75-minute class will introduce you to the practice of Mindfulness – what it means, why we need more of it, and how it can change our lives.

Maria will offer information and experiences to help you explore what it means to be mindful. We will learn to work with our attention by directing it to the breath, some gentle movement and other meditative anchors. As we offer a sense of kind acceptance to ourselves and our practice, the benefits of Mindfulness begin to unfold.

These practices will help reduce tension and anxiety, improve your sleep, recognize and reduce negative thoughts, strengthen your mind and cognitive function, improve focus/reduce distracted thinking.

Mindfulness is a doorway to feeling more vibrant, available and engaged in our lives . . . as we connect to the kindness of our own heart we encourage a sense of gratitude to grow.

First time meditators as well as those with more experience are welcome to attend.

This class is donation based. All proceeds will go to the Shanti Bhavan School in India in support of Sinchana, the sweet 6 year old student that our studio sponsors. If you cannot attend, please consider showing your support and donating or attending our Practices of Gratitude on Thanksgiving Day.
