Introduction to Mindfulness: A 4-Week Series with Tasha Brown
May 5, 2022 @ 6:45 pm - 8:00 pm
| $60Event Navigation

In our fast-paced society with multitasking, electronic speed, zooming, social media, phones that are all but attached to our bodies, pandemic stressors, and distressing world events, one of the great difficulties is that we lose touch with ourselves and we also lose touch with what matters. We stop seeing the beauty around us and lose our ability to be truly present for the big and small moments of our life. We long for ways to calm our mind, body, and heart. Mindfulness can bring us back to ourselves so we can be better “in-tune” to foster well-being and take wise action.
In this 4-week series you will learn that you can train your heart and mind to positively change your
relationship to all of life’s joys and sorrows – ultimately experiencing more well being in all aspects of your life.
Over a span of each 75 minute class, Tasha will guide you in ways to work mindfully with your breath and body, feelings and emotions, and thoughts and beliefs through practices which are healing and liberating. You will also learn how to bring a more caring, compassionate quality to your life and to those you love (including yourself!).
Tasha Brown is completing her Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification. This series is a part of her final practicum. She hopes you will join her with an open heart and mind, provide feedback along the way, and learn from one another.

About the instructor: Tasha Brown
Tasha came to her meditation practice seeking tools to manage anxiety that developed as a result of a number of health issues. The profound healing and awakening she has experienced has led to Tasha’s current participation in the 2-year Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program (MMTCP) with the Awareness Training Institute and the Greater Good Science Center at the University of California at Berkeley which she will complete in February 2023. Drawing on the programs in depth training and her own personal meditation journey, Tasha helps students start and build their meditation practice through a variety of mindfulness meditation practices.
