Invite Ease: Gentle Yoga & Yoga Nidra for a Busy World with Sarah Belisle
Mar 2, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
| $25Event Navigation

Even as the rest of the world moves quickly, it is important to slow down and mindfully come back to your center. This special Friday night 90-minute class is an antidote to your busy week – a time to step back, relax and reconnect.
We’ll start class with an hour of breathing and gentle movement, using yoga postures that stretch and invite ease into the physical body. Slow, deliberate flowing movement coupled with held poses will help dissolve physical tension in the body. Special attention will be paid to releasing the muscles of the shoulders and chest, areas of the body where many of us hold tension.
Once the body is relaxed, we will then settle in to experience Yoga Nidra. Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation that helps to integrate the mind and body. This time of meditation is designed to hit the reset button for your brain, facilitating relaxation and greater sense of self-awareness.
Class will be open to all levels of students. We hope that you’ll join us for this 90 minutes break from the busyness of the world.

About the Instructor: Sarah Belisle
Sarah began practicing yoga over ten years ago while working on her graduate degree in nutrition. She found that yoga helped her to balance the stress of graduate school and physical demands of distance running. Yoga became a touchstone that she repeatedly came back to while moving through life, transitioning in her career, and training for marathons. Sarah began teaching in 2013 after completing her teaching training at Yogalife in Seattle. As a teacher, Sarah hopes to help students bring more balance to their daily lives. She strives to create a welcoming environment where students can tune into their own mental and physical experience. Outside of teaching, Sarah enjoys running and studies acupuncture at the Seattle Institute of Oriental Medicine.
