This workshop is designed to get you into handstands. We will begin with a targeted warm-up that will prepare the body for handstand work. Then we will break down the various strength and flexibility requirements, and assess where you are at in the physical process of preparing for handstands. We will break down each component in the alignment of handstands, its variations, and other hand balances and inversions so that we can step by step work towards getting into, holding, and playing with balancing on our hands. This workshop will be a workout and also a study session. Anyone can join from those who have never been in a handstand to practitioners who can handstand but want to improve their overall understanding of handstands and find great warmups and variations on how to improve and mix in different drills and skills towards handstands. After
completion participants will have the tools to continue their journey to handstands within their own practice in the studio or at home.

Jeremy-PautlerTaking inspiration from many forms of athletics and movement Jeremy likes to use yoga poses as tools to explore alignment in an effort to build body awareness and sharpen the mind body connection. He believes that all forms of movement have value and in his classes you can expect to find a variety of approaches towards learning. Blending traditional yoga practice with creative flows and sequencing, Jeremy aims to get you working hard while creating an environment where you can feel encouraged to modify or intensify to get the best results for you. After the fiery flows, he will lull you into a relaxed and mindful state for savasana and/or meditation.
