Arrival2020 Jungle Retreat in Las Lomas - Jennifer Isaacson
You’ve landed in Puerto Vallarta and your driver is there with a sign that has your name on it. A cold drink and a shiny SUV.  Let’s go.  How long until we’re there? An hour. There’s more jungle than you expected, lush and green. Welcome to Mexico.

Saturday
This place is AMAZING. It’s beautiful, has all the amenities of a hotel, but sits in the middle of the jungle. There’s a view in every direction. Your room is private, bright, and sweetly appointed. You drop off your bags, wander by the pool and meet your group for dinner. The food is delicious; you’re hungrier than you thought.  More guacamole please.

Sunday
The air is warm on your skin.  You open your eyes and remember where you are.  The breeze is part ocean, part jungle.  Wonderful.  The yoga challenges and supports you in all the right ways.  You’re excited to learn new things. You nap and pool and nap and pool.  After the evening yoga, you join the group for dinner and there’s lots of laughing and a few sunburns. These people are nice.

Monday
It’s a new moon. Your teacher talks about balance around, balance within.  What a lovely concept.   Everyone heads down to the beach. There you discover clay . You put it on your skin. In your hair. It dries in the sun. Coming out of the ocean, you’ve never felt softer and lighter. It’s a new moon.

Tuesday
Hot shower, coffee, and you’re off to class.  This yoga is different. You feel different. You’re learning how to listen to your muscles, organs and intuition. You feel taller. You’re sore in the best way.

Wednesday
You have stamina.  Less fear.  You like these people.  You like Mexico.  You’re looking forward to the evening yoga class.  Long slow poses.  Meditation.  Will someone pass an eye mask?  We’re feeling sleepy. You can’t remember when you slept this good. Dreamed so vividly.

Thursday
You forget about your phone. Emails. Social media. The sun tells you the time and the stars give you direction. This is how it’s supposed to be. You can feel it.2020 Jungle Retreat in Las Lomas with Jennifer Isaacson

Friday
Your last full day of the retreat.  You soak up every moment.  Poolside plans that may or may not ever happen.  This doesn’t matter.  The connections are real and while you may not see all of these people again, you have one or two new friends.  Real ones.  This part matters.

Saturday
You wake up wondering how much it’ll cost to delay your return home.  Yoga settles these feelings, but you know you’ll be back.  Breakfast is full of goodbyes and see you laters and thank you’s and I’m just so grateful we came.  All of us.  Together. Viva La Mexico.

Simplify. Practice. Nourish. Rest.

I’m very excited to offer an intimate retreat experience surrounded by nature focused on the yoga. Private and spacious, this beautifully designed property sits in the jungle above pristine beaches an hour north of Puerto Vallarta. The week will align the body and use meditation to recalibrate the mind.

Wake up to the melody of birds and the rhythm of waves. Spend the day surrounded by water and green in all directions. As the full moon rises, hear music of the jungle and count more stars than you’ve ever seen.

4 acres of private seclusion. 8 buildings sleep 10 people in 6 rooms. Thoughtfully designed architecture connected by paved paths. 4 full bathrooms and additional toilets + outdoor showers nestled throughout. 3 gorgeous yoga spaces. Infinity pool. Wood deck. Splashes of color. Polished concrete. Views.

Space. Solitude. Everything you need, nothing you don’t.

Our chef will tailor the menu to your needs and preferences while providing nourishment to fuel your practice and vitality. The property is well maintained, clean, and secure. A bilingual concierge is on call to help with any needs. Excellent cell service, most carriers include Mexico in standard plans these days. There’s a small eco-hotel a 25 minute walk downhill and secluded beaches to sun, swim, and explore.
