Virtual Training -Eight Weekend Format (Friday Evenings, Saturday & Sunday Days)

The Program
Our Y6 Teacher Training Program is designed for anyone who wants to deepen their personal yoga practice as well as for those who aspire to share their passion as an instructor. Training with an accredited school like Y6 ensures you receive a well-rounded education that meets the hours criteria in 6 key categories as defined by Yoga Alliance. Most studios in the United States require teachers to hold a minimum of 200-hour certificate in order to teach. We are not looking to cut corners in our program. Instead, we are holding the highest integrity of education and commitment to ensure our students receive the top rate training they deserve. This includes working with educational designers who specialize in how adults learn, so that we might have the best possible impact in our students.

200 Hr Yoga Teacher Training
Take the opportunity to gain knowledge in body alignment, anatomy and Y6 philosophy, as well as learning how to teach a fun, safe and effective Y6 class. Additionally, your training will teach you skills in leadership, listening and facilitation that will serve you well in Y6, as well as other aspects of your life.

About the instructors: Christine Kick, Valerie Lucas, and Zac Armstrong

Christine Kick

Christine Kick makes it a priority to live a life filled with adventure and joy!
Most recently, she became an AcroYoga (AYI) certified instructor, 6 years after first falling in love with the partner flying practice. She teaches fun, explorative classes that combine acrobatics with therapeutics, showing others how to find strength and cultivate a greater sensitivity.
A mentorship at YogaSix in St. Louis with former Kripalu teacher Danny Arguetty led her to the role as Yoga Teacher Training Lead. She attended a Tantric Vinyasa training in Kerala, India where she completed her 500-hour certification through Sacred Lasya.
In addition to teaching yoga, Christine has studied thai massage and Reiki and has a growing healing arts practice.
She is grateful to be living her dream and fulfilling her mission to inspire others to be themselves, spread love, and to remember to smell the roses.

Valerie Lucas

A teacher’s teacher, Valerie’s classes and events are transformational. She has the ability to facilitate multi-dimensional experiences, helping her students connect to his/her own inner personal power. Valerie genuinely connects with and empowers each of her students, whether it is their first time on the mat or they have been practicing with her for years.
Her authentic teaching style blends functional alignment with dynamic flow, a dose of humor and plentiful opportunities for self-inquiry. With a strong focus on the breath and intelligent transitions, Valerie is an expert at holding space for her students in a way that allows for maximum growth on and off of the mat.
When Valerie was about 12 years old, her mother was working at UMass Medical School in Worcester, MA, alongside Jon Kabat-Zinn. Valerie would take the bus into the city and (to get to her mom’s office) would need to walk over and around bodies in a dark room where Jon was conducting his Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Clinic. This was her first introduction to meditation and mindfulness. Fast-forward almost 26 years, and Valerie has not only adopted these practices, but has made a life and career out of sharing its teachings.
