[Live Streamed] Yoga for Life Series with Nicole Bratt - Seattle Yoga Arts

SPECIAL EVENT with Nicole Bratt & Gabrielle Mehlman

You are invited to a sweet summer evening of deep relaxation and sound healing. Your journey begins with gentle movement to prepare your body for intentional rest–supported Restorative yoga postures. You’ll be bathed in a rich soundscape of song, harmonium, crystal singing bowls, and more.

Sound is one of the most ancient healing modalities for transforming our state of being. Steeped in vibration and melody, every cell in our body resonates and responds. Harmonies and tones can shift our brain waves, deepen our relaxation response, enhance creativity, and uplift our sense of wellbeing.

Restorative yoga is a receptive practice of stillness; the body is reclined and supported completely by props, which stimulates the relaxation response.

Put these powerful healing modalities together and you have the recipe for a deeply nourishing, transformative experience.

This practice is suitable for most bodies, regardless of fitness level, age, ability, or experience with yoga.

Notes:

Mats and props are all provided, but you are welcome to bring your own.

Dress in cozy layers and bring socks, so that you can stay warm; your body temperature will drop throughout the practice as you move into relaxation response.

We do recommend you bring your own eye cover/pillow/mask.

If you are a journaling type, you might appreciate having a journal and writing implement with you.

This is an in-studio-only event. Please review our current COVID safety protocols – we are currently requiring proof of vaccination. Masks are optional.
Space is very limited; please register early if you wish to attend.

Schedule:

Tuition: $50

Please plan carefully: Refunds of 90% are granted up to 5 days prior to the event start; after which, no refunds are given.

About the instructor: Nicole Bratt

Nicole Bratt

Nicole, a Midwest native, is committed to holding space for students so that they may benefit from this elegant practice we know as yoga. She is deeply honored to be doing just that as the Studio Manager at Seattle Yoga Arts. Her life passion is cultivating vibrant and inclusive community wellness, and she is excited to bring her diverse background as a graphic designer, yoga teacher, event planner, photographer, volunteer coordinator, and small business owner to SYA.

As a group fitness instructor, Nicole explored yoga briefly in her 20s, but initially there was little resonance. When yoga crossed her path again in her 30s, she discovered she was ready to fully embrace its life-changing gifts. Her path led to completing both 200-hr and 500-hr teacher trainings at Yoga Tree San Francisco, and she now specializes in Restorative, gentle, therapeutic, and prenatal modalities. She is passionate about the power of stillness as a transformational experience, as well as an antidote to urban living. After 12+ years living, working, and studying in San Francisco, Nicole transplanted to our lush, beautiful Seattle. When she’s not at the studio, you are likely to find Nicole outdoors, listening to live music, creating art, making/eating delicious food, adventuring near and far, or taking a nap.
