Many of us dwell in the past or worry about the future at the expense of our present experience. In this workshop we will utilize mindfulness meditation techniques, gentle movement, and self-reflective exercises in order to develop our ability to stay in the present moment.

Research has shown that mindfulness practice can: reduce rumination, reduce stress, boost working memory, improve focus, reduce emotional reactivity, increase cognitive flexibility, improve relationship satisfaction, improve sleep, and reduce psychological stress, including depression and anxiety.

Participants will learn techniques they can use to take their mindfulness off the mat or meditation cushion and into their daily life. Please bring your own mat, a notebook/journal, and a pen/pencil.
