About The Instructor: Heidi Dickinson
Heidi was born and raised in South Africa; her family moved to Seattle 13 years ago. Before moving to Seattle Heidi was a high school PE and Social Studies teacher.
Teaching people to be active and healthy is Heidi’s passion. She coached high school dance, field hockey and swim teams and mom-&-toddler fitness classes. She used to do many different kinds of exercises and got injured regularly because she was very competitive and had no body awareness. So, she decided to take a few months off and only do yoga. She signed up for her first power class and was addicted. She loves how physically challenging and restorative this practice is.
She did her 200hr Teacher Training with Shakti Vinyasa (Baron Baptiste Inspired Vinyasa yoga), recognized by the worldwide Yoga Alliance in 2014. She has since then added Restorative Yoga and Myofascial release classes to her practice and teaching.
Heidi likes to the teach things that she have received from her own yoga journey and that is to sweat, have a challenging workout, to feel empowered, be playful, listen to your body and to be kind to yourself.
