Just as the acorn holds the entirety of the oak tree within it, we hold within ourselves a full and unique human being. For the tree to reach its optimal expression it needs the ideal combination of soil, water, light, and attention.

We are the same, and the practices of yoga are a beautiful way to nourish our body-mind-heart with movement, breath, light, and awareness. With the dawning of a new year, we have the cyclical gift of renewal. This new start is a beautiful time to rediscover what supports and nourishes us so we can fully express and embody our most authentic self, moment to moment, breath to breath. Come to enjoy the blessings of community and practice on this auspicious first day of 2019. All levels welcome.

Pre-registration highly encouraged as this practice typically fills to capacity.

-Tuition: $40

-Please plan carefully: Refunds of 90% are granted up to 5 days prior to the class start; after which, no refunds are given.

About the instructor:

Rainey

Rainey first encountered yoga as a teenager, discovered her passion for it in her mid-20’s and began teaching more than 17 years ago. For most of her life, she has been curious about the great mysterious dance of life and death and has been drawn towards the traditions that help deepen and expound upon it. Her personal journey has given her a sincere appreciation for the tenacity of the body, mind, and heart when given space and support to renew and recover.

Rainey offers Living Presence Yoga & Somatic Awareness: an invitation to move with deep attention and curiosity, pausing often to listen to what is currently arising and orienting ourselves in the larger context of nature. She is devoted to co-creating a space of wild inquiry with her students. She is deeply influenced by her on-going studies in Continuum, Meditation and Trauma Release. Her decade as a certified Anusara yoga Teacher lays the foundation for her teaching. Rainey is a C-IAYT and E-RYT 500 certified yoga teacher and offers private therapeutic yoga sessions.
