Join Denise Benitez and Karen Sprute-Francovich in magical Molokai, Hawaii!

Our current culture is filled with yang (active, masculine, striving) and does not tend to value round, moist, deep reserves and sustenance such as those that are found in Hawaii — especially on Mother Molokai. Spend a week practicing and adoring the things our culture doesn’t: instead of sharp, bright, fast, surface, we will bring to life those energies that are soft and low, slow and deep; the energies that heal and promote what yogis call soma, ease of being. This week will be an antidote to all the noise and speed of the over-culture and a time to rest deeply and replenish your inner stores of wellness and optimism.

Each day of the workshop includes two yoga classes. We will follow our theme throughout the week, and include pranayama, meditation, restorative yoga, chanting, and other surprises. Meditation instruction will be offered in the mornings. You will have one totally open day to explore the island.

Location details:

You will have a room either in the lodge, or in one of the outlying small cabins scattered on the land, which are more private and which share bathhouses. All buildings are connected by paths through the land, creating a village atmosphere. The property includes a non-chlorine swimming pool.

The food at Hui Ho’olana is outstanding and will be a highlight of your stay. Meals are lovingly prepared by talented guest chefs from the mainland. Much of the produce comes from the organic gardens on the property. Join us for a truly amazing, rejuvenating experience.
